Our Taaru Stripe Curtains are bold and contemporary in look. They have a lovely drape to the fabric in a medium to heavy weight. Made from cotton Khadi; hand spun cotton which has then been hand woven on a wooden loom giving a delightful textured finish. The curtains can be teamed up with our co-ordinating Taaru Stripe Cushions, or mixed and matched with our furnishing collection to give a eclectic style to your home or garden. These beautiful curtains are also wonderful to give as an ethical, and truly unique, gift.
Machine washable at 30 degrees using a non-bio detergent. Do not leave to soak. Do not tumble dry. Hand made - every piece is unique!
Please note that all our products are hand made to varying degrees, and slight variations in size and shape are to be expected. Whilst reasonable care is taken during manufacturing some colours may vary from batch to batch. The stability and permanence of dyes cannot be guaranteed. All fabrics will change colour over time in direct light. Strong coloured items should be washed separately, and may require 3 or more washes to remove excess dye stuff.
Curtains - Taaru Stripe
This skilled technique for producing cloth date back for generations, and in many respects the methods remain largely unchanged. The resulting fabric has natural variations which creates a characteristic textured fabric, different in feel to fabric which has been machine woven. Many of our weavers work either in small local groups or in their own homes. They are often also farmers using weaving as a supplement to their main income.
